SDK
Simulcast is a video conferencing feature that enables the simultaneous broadcast of multiple versions of the same video stream with different resolutions and bitrates.
This feature is commonly used to optimize and deliver the maximum possible video quality for each of the participants, mainly those with a slower or less dependable internet connection. During a video call, the video stream is sent from the sender’s device to the recipient’s device. However, the video quality may be affected, and the video may freeze or lag, if the recipient has an unsteady internet connection. Simulcast allows the sender to transmit several video streams, each with varying quality, to ensure that all participants receive an optimal video quality experience.
Essentially, simulcast is an essential tool in video conferencing that can enhance the dependability and excellence of video calls for all participants, regardless of their network conditions.
Its ability to optimize video and audio quality for all users, regardless of their device or internet connection, will make it a top choice for users of your app.
